List of books by author Muhammad Nâsir-ud-Deen al-Albâni

Shaykh Muhammad Nâsir-ud-Deen al-Albâni is often considered the Hadith scholar of his day, one of the most prominent Hadith scholars of the 20st century CE. His books are well-respected and used as references for sorting hadiths into those which are authentic and those which are weak. Shaykh al-Albâni was also known for his commitment to reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him). He often gave lessons, lectures, or answered questions (many of which were taped) and had many students.
Shaykh al-Albâni was born in the capital of Albania in 1914 CE, but his family later migrated to Damascus to be able to better practice their faith. Shaykh al-Albâni became engrossed in the study of Hadith at a young age, though under the guidance of his father, he also earned a livelihood repairing clocks and watches. He learned from the scholars who were available to him and furthered this with knowledge gained from his own independent study in the libraries of Damascus. The Shaykh was a prolific writer. In the early 1960s, he spent three years as a professor at the Islamic University of Madinah, in Saudi Arabia. He lived in a number of countries, including Lebanon and UAE, and eventually settled in Jordan, where he died in 1999.
